About Tysen Singletary
Born in 1998 and raised in Saint Petersburg, Florida, Singletary developed a voracious appetite for records as a teen, collecting and digesting thousands of albums while cutting his teeth in jazz and baby punk bands. After leaving FL in 2020, embarked on a DIY career recording and mixing.
Working through the post-COVID underground rock scene in NYC, he first developed a reputation as a synth expert which led to his collaboration with the SynthLIbrary’s NY branch working as an instructor. Before long, he caught the recording bug after a day of much-needed advice and pizza with Parquet Courts’s Andrew Savage and was gifted with the opportunity to work with incredible up-and-coming artists such as Club Aqua, ReauxChamBeaux, Honeysucker, S.C.A.B. and Avery Friedman. From 2020-2024, he’s been involved with numerous records and performances in the tri-state area, serving as a drummer, bassist and overall noise maker aficionado
Tysen currently works out of his private Jeff Records Recording Studio in Ridgewood, Queens and lives in Brooklyn.
